Mount Snow, Vermont is host for various special events year 'round. Nestled in the Green Mountains of southern Vermont, Mount Snow was the host of the ESPN 2000 and 2001 Winter X Games.
Mount Snow features 135 trails, 26 lifts, 12 tree terrain areas, five terrain parks and two half-pipes. It is located just four hours from New York City and 2 1/2 hours from Boston.
Mount Snow offers skiing for all abilities on 757 skiable acres. There are also mountain activities, including ice skating, sledding, snowmobiling, shopping, bowling, and movies. Child care is offered for children 6 weeks to 6 years in a modern, slopeside facility licensed by the state.
Learn-to-ski programs are offered starting at the age of 4, and a pre-ski program is available for 3-year-olds.
While you are in Mount Snow, visit Adams Farm, a working sixth-generation farm in southern Vermont, offering the public seasonal activities, agricultural interactive experiences and Vermont sleigh rides for the whole family. Interact with the Farm Animals - The farm animals are located outside in the pastures, paddocks and barns. You'll find draft horses, Highlander cattle, merino sheep, angora goats, ducks, geese, turkeys, a hen house to gather eggs in, hug a donkey, walk a llama and play in our famous "hay jump!" Enjoy hayrides and evening bon fires. Relax with afternoon tea and a sheep herding demonstration. The Farm's eight Belgian Draft Horses will pull the Sleighs through the 210 Acre hillside farm. Through maple and pine groves, across an open meadow to take in the views, then into a log cabin in the woods to warm up by the wood fires, sip a steaming cup of hot chocolate and sing to the tunes of an ol' player piano.
